Job Summary/Essential Functions
: Start Something Big with Eastern Washington University. We are currently seeking an experienced professional for Campus Police Sergeant. This position will supervise a squad or shift of full-time campus police officers. This position will perform the patrol duties of the police officer, and are responsible for supervising a group of police officers. Incumbents have arrest powers and are required to be commissioned law officers under the regulations of the state.
On top of salary, the University offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, life and disability insurance and retirement. Conditions of Employment
: The successful candidate must be a CJTC certified commissioned officer or other state's equivalent. Candidates must be physically fit and able to perform the basic job functions of the position. The selected candidate will be required to work rotating shifts. The successful candidate will be required to pass both a psychological and polygraph test. The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check and pre-placement physical exam prior to beginning work. This is an Agency Shop position.
