Southern Deputy Finance Director

The Southern Deputy Finance Director assists the Southern Finance Director in overseeing the major donor fundraising efforts for the Southern Region of the United States including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. The Southern Deputy Finance Director works closely with the Southern Finance Director in creating and implementing a region-specific finance plan and supporting the execution of principle and surrogate travel and fundraising events in the South. The Southern Deputy Finance Director is responsible for identifying, cultivating and maintaining relationships with the top donors in the Southern region. Applicant must be detail-oriented, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and have some political campaign experience. Experience in the South is strongly preferred.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

    • Providing support for the execution of principle and surrogate travel in the Southern region including scheduling donor meetings and creating briefing memos
    • Assisting in the execution of fundraising events in the Southern region
    • Assisting the Southern Finance Director in maintaining Southern donor relationships
    • Performing research to identify prospective new major donors and raisers and working to re-engage lapsed donors
    • Creating and managing a tracking system for all Southern donors
    • Creating and managing a Southern finance email program to keep major donors in the South informed and engaged
    • Providing support to the Southern Regional Finance Director as needed

Experience & Qualification:

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field
    • 2-3 years of related work experience
    • Strong and engaging interpersonal skills
    • Detail oriented and proficient in Excel
    • Working knowledge of NGP database preferred
    • Experience working on campaign or political committee fundraising teams for 1-2 cycles preferred
    • Experience working in Southern Region preferred
    • Some travel required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
