Human Resources Associate

The Human Resources Associate assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. This position carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, payroll. The individual will be responsible for overseeing year round DNC Internship program.


    • Manage DNC Internship Program
    • Assists with employee relations matters
    • Assists with event planning and
    • Prepares and maintains reports and records that are necessary to carry out HR functions
    • Assists the HR Director with various research projects and/or special projects
    • Enter new hires into the HR system, and tracks employee benefits
    • Processes mail and tracks invoices for approval
    • Other duties as assigned


    • Bachelor's degree and 1 to 3 years of HR experience
    • Must be able to manage priorities and multi-task
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, tact, diplomacy and the ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Ability to be responsive and develop strong professional relationships with the business
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
    • Good customer service skills
    • Outstanding attitude towards external and internal clients
    • Good organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
    • Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as prioritizing work as necessary

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
